The Update Scheduled Billing tool provides staff the ability to "reset" a specific member type recurring scheduled billing when the fees configuration in the Membership Type setup has been changed/updated.
For Example:
Your board has decided to charge a one-time fee for 2024. The fee has been added to the membership type but the current membership scheduled billings
need to be updated.
- Click Setup in the left-hand navigation panel
- Click Update Scheduled Billing in the Data Tools section
- Use the icon to filter to specific members. You can filter using the following criteria:
- Specific Membership Type
- Level
- Status
- Membership Start Date
- Membership Next Bill Date
- Once you have applied desired filters click the Update button.
- The confirmation screen will display the total of scheduled billings that will be updated. Type Yes to confirm that you do wish to update these billings.
- Click Update.
Scheduled billing will now be updated. Dependent on the number of contacts this process may take several minutes.
TIPS:
- Make then test the changes in clone to ensure the results are what you expect.
- Take note of the number of membership types you are updating (Setup > Memberships > Types)
- Run the tool for each membership type individually to ensure that the correct changes are made to the correct number of membrships noted in #2 above.
